A two-week lockdown has been imposed in Eil district in Ma'an starting Thursday.

This decision comes following an increase in the number of coronavirus cases and due to the worsening COVID-19 situation in the district.

The Governor of Ma'an allowed the necessary facilities to remain open to provide citizens with their basic needs.

A mechanism has been set up for citizens to fulfill their basic needs on foot by allowing residents of different areas to leave their houses at certain times, to ensure minimum contact between citizens in different areas.
