21 new COVID-19 cases in Karak and Balqa

A total of 21 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Karak and Balqa until Thursday morning.

Four cases have been recorded in the Ghor Al-Safi district in Karak on Wednesday evening, announced the Governor of Karak, Bilal Al-Nsour.

The positive cases recorded after the daily COVID-19 announcement at approximately 9pm.

Health investigation teams are collecting samples from citizens in Ghor al-Safi and Southern Mazar to prevent the spread of the virus in Karak.

A total of 17 new cases were recorded in Southern Shuna, said the Governor of Balqa, Nayef al-Hajaya.

Three neighbourhoods and two houses have been isolated in the Southern Shuna District, and a mosque has been shut down after.

All positive cases have been transferred to isolation areas in the Dead Sea.

Health investigation teams are currently collecting samples from people who came into contact with positive cases and other random samples.
