More than 2,300  test negative for COVID-19 in Ramtha

A total of 2,358 people tested negative for COVID-19 in Ramtha after random samples were taken on Thursday and Friday, City’s Health Director, Ikhlas al-Saad, said on Saturday.

Around 8,000 tests have been conducted on people in Ramtha since the first cases were recorded in the city, al-Saad added.

The Health Directorate is awaiting the results of the remaining tests, which are expected to come out within the next few hours, she added.

She added that 31 buildings were isolated in Ramtha, 19 of which are no longer isolated and authorities are awaiting the results of the remaining 12 buildings.

The COVID-19 investigation teams are continuing to take samples from people who came into contact with positive cases, she added.

She said the COVID-19 situation in Ramtha is stable and under control.
