Jordanian cartoonist arrested for publishing cartoon insulting Arab country

The Jordanian cartoonist, Emad Hajjaj, was arrested on Wednesday evening, after publishing cartoons insulting an Arab country.

The CEO of the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ), Nidal Mansour, said that Emad Hajjaj was arrested in connection with a case published under the Cybercrime Law.

Mansour also called for his immediate release, as detention and arrest are a violation and a prior punishment.
