The number of deaths has reached 233 and 5,612 recorded cases among Palestinian migrant communities overseas as a result of COVID-19, said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday.

In its daily report, the ministry stated the recovery cases have reached 1,910 after 59 new recoveries were recorded in Qatar.

The Palestinian Embassy and the Consulate General in Saudi Arabia reported three new Palestinian deaths; Abdel-Aziz Suliman Ahmad Barakeh, 83, Adnan Mahmoud Salem Shbeir, 54, and Khadija Mohammad Ghurab, 91, bringing the total number of deaths in Saudi Arabia to 74.

The team responsible for following up the situation of Palestinians in the U.S. said 174 new cases were recorded involving Palestinians residing in Michigan, Dallas, Ohio, Washington, Chicago and New Jersey, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 3,372 cases.

However, no deaths have been recorded for eight consecutive days, keeping the number of deaths at 72.

However, the Palestinian Embassy in Qatar reported 35 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 980; 74 of which are staying in quarantine outside the hospital, 23 are not critical but are still being treated in hospitals, and the remaining four active cases are critical cases staying inside the Intensive Care Unit.

A total of 59 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number of Palestinian recoveries in Qatar to 871. Eight deaths have also been recorded.

Many Palestinians who live and work outside of Palestine have left on evacuation flights, some to the UAE and some to Nicaragua.

Others who were stuck in the UAE have also returned to Palestine.
