Jordan confirms 2 new COVID-19 cases, all from abroad

Two new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Jordan on Friday, all from abroad, bringing the total number to 1,193 since the start of the crisis.

Both cases are Jordanian truck drivers who have entered from Saudi Arabia via Al-Omari border crossing.

Twelve recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital on Friday.

A total of 5,371 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number conducted so far to 597,895.

The Ministry of Health reiterated the need to adhere to preventive measures, avoid gatherings of more than 20 people, wear facemasks, social distance, and use Aman and Sehtak mobile applications.
