Jordan confirms 46 new COVID-19 cases, all from abroad

A total number of 46 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Jordan on Tuesday, said the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber.

The cases involve 44 Jordanians who have arrived from Syria, one Jordanian who has arrived from Iraq and one Jordanian arrived from Saudi Arabia.

Six recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital on Tuesday.

The number of active cases in Jordan is 86.

A total of 7,096 random tests were conducted today.

On Monday, the World Health Organization instructed Jordanian authorities not to count coronavirus cases involving non-Jordanian truck drivers who were denied entry at the border.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Jordan has decreased by 110, and it now stands at 1,113.
