The first local flight in nearly three months, coming from Amman, has landed in Aqaba this morning.

The flight arrived at King Hussain International Airport, carrying 141 passengers from Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), according to the Economic Affairs Commissioner in the Aqaba Regional Authority, Shurhabeel Madi.

Madi added that the flight is the first since the Airport was shut down due to the coronavirus crisis, noting that the next flight is expected to carry 170 passengers.

The Airport witnessed preparations for welcoming visitors, most notable of which are temperature check-ups, social distancing floor stickers, sanitation equipment for passengers and their luggage.
