Orange Jordan has announced the conclusion of the first stage of the online registration process for those interested in joining the second batch of its coding academy.

The Academy received and processed 7000 applications, of which 3100 applications qualified to the online examination stage, which will qualify 300 candidates to the interview stage.

The Applicants who successfully passed the first stage of the application process were emailed and informed that they have made it to the next stage, which started on the 05th of May and will conclude on the 16th of the month. Interviews will be set later, in line with the government procedures to combat the coronavirus crisis.

The company extended the deadline of the first stage of online applications to the 26th of April, due to the huge number of requests received and to give as many applicants as possible, who wish to enhance their professional path in the field of programming, the opportunity to join free and intensive training courses on prime programming languages and personal skills that are highly required in the labor market.

Orange Jordan affirmed its keenness to proceed with online registration, in line with the precautionary measures in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

This training program reflects an important pillar of the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy which focuses on providing youth with an opportunity to excel and designed to enhance the efficiency of workers in the digital fields as part of its role as the digital partner of the Kingdom.

The company pointed out that the starting date of the academic course of the second batch, which will include 50 students, will be determined based on the local developments of the pandemic to ensure the health and safety of its students as well as administrative and educational cadres.

The company clarified that it embodied the concept of ‘training for employment,’ through the academy, which was adopted and sought to turn into a reality, pointing out that 70% of the first batch graduates received job opportunities before completing their internships.

The academy offers a 6-month of intensive courses in programming languages such as JavaScript and Python, web developing, mobile and computer applications, personal development skills, in addition to a one-month internship in a Jordanian company.

Orange Jordan launched the Coding Academy in partnership with Simplon.Co. in 2019 to prepare youth to work in this promising field and meet the market’s need for programmers and technical experts, and to present a successful model similar to the Group’s academies located in Senegal and France.
