The media spokesman for the National Committee for Epidemics, Nathir Obaidat, has confirmed today that Jordanians who were found infected with coronavirus at the Jordanian borders are receiving treatment at the accredited hospitals, while non-Jordanians were repatriated to their home countries to receive treatment there.

Speaking exclusively to Roya, Obaidat said that "there are laboratories on the borders and this is the most important procedure, where every driver and everyone who enters the borders undergoes a COVID-19 test."

He pointed out that there are mechanisms for unloading trucks coming to the Kingdom on the borders without being allowed to enter. The goods are then loaded onto trucks driven by Jordanian drivers.

"There are two critical cases in Jordan, where one of them improved and the other is still on the artificial respiration," Obaidat stated.

Regarding the Jordanian students coming from abroad to the Kingdom, he confirmed that there is a clear vision of the measures that the government will take before they enter the planes, while they are on board, at the airport and in quarantine.
