Chinese Ambassador to Amman Pan Weifang has said today that his country is helping Jordan purchase medical materials of all kinds, including test kits, to support its anti-coronavirus efforts.

Weifang lauded the Kingdom's strict precautionary measures after the spread of the disease.

Chinese companies have also made donations to the Kingdom as part of support efforts, he added.

He pointed out that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, voiced sympathy and support to the Chinese people during its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The envoy underlined that China will share its experience in combating the disease as well as treatments with Jordan, to help stabilize and slow its spread.

After two months of fighting the COVID-19, the Chinese people have managed to overcome the pandemic, he highlighted.

He pointed out that the average rate of work resumption across China exceeded 95 percent, adding that the Chinese economy is revitalized after the temporary shut down.

Weifang said the pandemic resulted in boosting the 5th generation service, including remote economy, education, and work.

He stressed his country's commitment to international cooperation in combating the pandemic, pointing out that China has openly communicated with the World Health Organization and relevant countries information about the situation.

The envoy stated that his country is setting up a universal model for protection against epidemics with practical measures, which has garnered international support.
