Aqaba Airport suspends all flights until further notice

The King Hussein International Airport (KHIA) in the southern city of Aqaba has decided today to suspend all international flights to and from the airport until further notice, according to Aqaba Airports Company (AAC) General Manager Nasser Al-Majali.

In a statement to, Al-Majali said this decision came in accordance with government's precautionary measures to curb the novel coronavirus, noting that the airport is scheduled today to receive five flights from European countries to transport passengers departing from Aqaba to their countries, where empty aircraft will arrive at the KHIA for this purpose.

Al-Majali stressed the airport will maintain two flights for the Royal Jordanian Airlines, which will continue its work between Aqaba and Amman, in addition to air freight.
