Four French tourists have been quarantined on Saturday, March 14, after one of them was suspected of having coronavirus.

The spokesman for the national committee for epidemics, Dr. Nathir Obaidat said that the four tourists were staying at a hotel in the Dead Sea.

In a statement to Roya, Obaidat explained that one of the tourists had fever, which prompted the concerned medical staff to quarantine him, along with three others who were with him.

"The tourists arrived in Jordan a few days ago, as they were in a visit to Aqaba and Petra," Obaidat added, confirming that the concerned authorities have taken all the procedures in place in such a case.

He stressed that the tourists will be quarantined until the results of the medical examination are received.
