His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Tuesday at Karak Castle met with a group of young volunteers who are active in community service and charity work.

Crown Prince Al Hussein stressed the importance of supporting voluntary youth initiatives and promoting a culture of volunteerism and community service, commending young volunteers’ efforts to serve local communities.

His Royal Highness, who joined the volunteers for iftar, was briefed by Arabcom voluntary group founder Layth Majali on its activities, which are aimed at sustainable development and instilling a culture of social solidarity and cooperation.

The voluntary group includes 300 members and over 1,000 volunteers, and it seeks to engage young people and harness their energies through volunteerism for community service programmes, according to Majali.

The Crown Prince and the volunteers also performed maghreb prayer.
