Parliament member Abdulkarim Al Doghmi said that the Commercial Attaché in the US Embassy threatened Jordanian traders to dissuade them from working with Syria.

At the parliamentary session on Tuesday morning, Doghmi noted that "what the Attaché did is considered bullying and violation of all diplomatic norms”, adding that “the Attaché alerted Jordanian traders and threatened to prosecute them if they cooperated with Syria”.

Doghmi said that such behavior is "evidence of US administration failure to destroy Syria," pointing out that Jordanians have the right to deal with Syria.

He called on traders and all Jordanians to challenge this "bullying" and demanded the government to take action against such behavior.
