The Jordanian national football team today won against Australia in the AFC Asian Cup 2019, thanks to Jordan’s Anas Bani Yaseen, who scored the winning goal in the 26th minute of the match.

This is the moment Yaseen made Jordanian football enthusiasts mighty proud.

Sunday's Jordan vs Australia match took place in the UAE, where the Cup kicked off the day prior.

Next Jordan will go head to head with Syria, while Australia will face Palestine in the second round of the game.

This is Jordan's fourth appearance in Asia’s premier competition, however, this was the first time Jordan has played against Australia in the Asian Cup, despite playing against each other four times in the past in World Cup qualifiers.
