JSTA warns of dealing with unlicensed tourist offices

Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents (JSTA) warned of dealing with unlicensed tourist offices, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, through SMS messages via mobile phones.

JSTA pointed out that this step grants citizens’ rights when they want to obtain services such as book tickets for international or domestic trips, or to perform Umrah or Hajj, adding that in case the tourist office failed to provide the required services or to comply with the contracts, action will be taken against them. This step seeks to develop tourism after the recent emergence of unlicensed offices in the local market, who operate without supervision.

It also called on citizens to check on the list of offices approved by both, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the JSTA.
