His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah left Jordan on Monday, November 26, 2018 for a work visit to Japan.

During the meeting with Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, King Abdullah II and Akihito stressed the depth of historic friendship relations between the two countries and the keenness on expanding joint cooperation in various fields.

King Abdullah II expressed his appreciation to Japan for its continuous support to Jordan in implementing many developmental projects, praising the humanitarian role of Japan in supporting the refugees.

The meeting included a lunch banquet hosted by His and Her Imperial Majesties in honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah and was also attended by Prince Omar Bin Faisal.

Following their meeting, Her Majesty Queen Rania added a photo captioned "Accompanying His Majesty at a meeting with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan at the Tokyo Imperial Palace today."
