King Abdullah receives report on human rights status in Jordan

His Majesty King Abdullah II received Chairperson of the National Centre for Human Rights’ (NCHR) Board of Trustees, Mohammad Adnan Bakhit, at Al Husseiniya Palace, Amman on Sunday, September 9, 2018.

NCHR Chairperson delivered the Centre's 14th annual report on the status of human rights in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the year 2017.

The King voiced appreciation for the role that NCHR plays in protecting human rights. His Majesty stressed on the importance of all institutions to start implementing the points recommended by the report and accordingly follow enhance the status of human rights in the Kingdom.

Those who attended the meeting included Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC), Yousef Issawi, Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty, Manar Dabbas, NCHR Commissioner General, Mousa Burayzat, as well as Government Human Rights Coordinator, Basel Tarawneh.
