The Head of the Media Department of the Civil Defence Directorate, Iyad Al-Amr, confirmed to Roya that three children have drowned on Wednesday morning in an agricultural pond in Ajloun.

Diving teams rushed to the scene where they found two of the children. Two were found dead and the third is suffering serious injuries. The injured child was transferred to the Eman public hospital.

Amr said the directorate had received the call of the disappearance of the three children who were playing near the pond in Ibbin area on Wednesday morning.

The pond measures 150 meters length and 40 meters width. Water level reaches 3-4 meters and is mixed with mud, which complicated the search.
