The Fuel Pricing Committee in the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral
Resources decided in a meeting on Saturday to increase fuel prices in the kingdom
for the month of February.

According to sources, the committee decided to increase the prices of both Octane 90 and 95 by 20 piasters per litre, and the diesel by 25 piasters per litre.

The new pricing system will come into effect as of end of today.

Earlier last week, Ayman Al Azzam, the Secretary General of the Ministry said that
fuel prices will remain the sames until the committee meets and decides otherwise.

The committee conducts monthly meetings to adjust fuel prices to correspond with changes in oil prices according to the international market.

Jordanians have witnessed severe price increase on commodities after the main
features of the economic measures of the year 2018 were announced.
