Dr. Bashar Hamarneh’s family shut down claims that the family would be financially compensated by the Occupation. Dr, Hamarneh was killed in an altercation at the Israeli embassy in Amman on Sunday.

Basem Hamarneh, the victim’s brother, said: “We have not been contacted by either Jordanian or Israeli officials.” He confirmed that Israel has not so far offered any compensation for Dr. Hamarneh’s life, which was taken in what the Israeli embassy employee called “an accident”.

Israeli Channel 7 had stated that their government would compensate the Jordanian citizen’s family. They also claimed that the man had been killed by the employee, who had had another Jordanian citizen attempt to stab him earlier.
