The Israeli Occupation authorities disclosed the identity of the individual behind a shooting incident targeting a bus north of Jericho, which resulted in two settlers sustaining injuries.

In a statement on Thursday evening, the Israeli Occupation army revealed that the assailant responsible for the attack in the Jordan Valley hails from Jenin and serves as an officer in the Palestinian Authority. However, the military liaison notified the perpetrator's family without disclosing his name.

Israeli Occupation Forces alleged that the shooting was carried out using weapons belonging to the Palestinian Authority.

Daniel Hagari, the military spokesperson for the Israeli Occupation army, stated that extensive forces are deployed to apprehend those involved in the Jordan Valley attack.

Earlier on Thursday morning, the army reported a shooting incident targeting a bus near Jericho in the Jordan Valley region, resulting in two casualties. The incident occurred along Route 90 near Al-Auja in the same vicinity.

Hebrew Channel 12 reported that three individuals sustained injuries of varying severity, with one person in critical condition.

Sources indicated that resistance fighters fired at a bus and two vehicles near the town of Al-Auja in Jericho, resulting in injuries to three settlers, one of whom sustained serious injuries.

Previously, Roya's correspondent reported that occupation forces established checkpoints and sealed off roads in the area as part of search and pursuit operations.
