The Criminal Investigation Department has apprehended a thief who targeted a restaurant in northern Amman, recovering a significant portion of the stolen money.

The investigation was initiated following a report from the restaurant's management, detailing the theft of JD 3,600 from one of its branches. The suspect had allegedly entered the premises and took the cash before fleeing the scene, according to a statement from the Public Security Directorate.

After diligent investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department, the perpetrator was identified and subsequently arrested. During interrogation, he admitted to the crime, and JD 3,600 of the stolen amount was found in his possession.

The suspect will now face legal proceedings as the case moves forward and will be referred to the judiciary for further proceedings.
