The Israeli Occupation continues its crimes, as it announced Monday evening the assassination of a leader in Hamas, Hassan Akasha, accusing him of being behind the launch of rockets towards the Occupied Palestinian territories from Syria.

The Israeli Occupation army said in a statement posted on its Telegram platform, “The Israeli army killed Hassan Akasha in Beit Jinn in the Rif Dimashq Governorate in Syria, who was responsible for launching Hamas rockets from Syrian territory towards Israel in recent weeks,”

The Israeli Occupation army did not specify the details of the assassination.

The statement added that the Israeli Occupation army “will not allow what it calls terrorism from Syrian territory.”

Hamas, in turn, has not commented on the Israeli Occupation army announcement as of now.

If Akasha's assassination is confirmed, he would be the second leader in Hamas to be assassinated within a week, following the killing of Saleh Al-Arouri, Vice President of Hamas, in a southern suburb of Beirut in Lebanon.
