Friday, Palestinian media stated that Wael al-Dahdouh, a journalist and reporter for Al Jazeera, was shot in the hand in Khan Younis.

Palestinian media added that Dahdouh was transported to the Nasser Medical Hospital for treatment, and there is no information available yet regarding his current health condition.

It was also noted that Al Jazeera cameraman Samer Abu Daka was also seriously injured in the incident.

Al Jazeera confirmed that Dahdouh was wounded while reporting on an airstrike targeting Haifa School in Khan Younis, along with Abu Daka.

On Oct. 25, several members of Dahdouh's family, including his wife, daughter and son, were killed in an Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) airstrike that targeted his home.

Notably, his daughter Batoul survived the attack.

The IOF had targeted a house where they had sought refuge in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 13 people, including nine children.
