Journalist Assem Kamal Musa was reportedly killed Saturday as a result of an Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shelling of the Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip, according to Roya's correspondent.

In a separate incident, photojournalist Samer Abu Daqqa, who worked for Al Jazeera, was also killed after being targeted while covering the IOF shelling on the Farhana school in Khan Younis.

According to Al Jazeera, Abu Daqqa remained on the ground and trapped in the vicinity of the Farhana school for nearly six hours, as an ambulance was unable to reach him after he was injured by a missile launched by an IOF aircraft.
