31 buses carrying 1,000 pilgrims arrive in Jordan

All necessary arrangements have been made with the relevant local authorities to receive the pilgrims returning from Mecca, according to the Director of the Mudawara Border Crossing Ahmed Al-Saudi Saturday.

He told Amen FM that the border crossing was provided with qualified and trained staff to help out during this phase in order to save time and effort for the pilgrims.

Saudi said 31 buses carrying 1,000 Jordanian pilgrims and 67 Palestinian pilgrims arrived up until 11 am Saturday.

The Highway Patrol Department designated a number of officers to accompany 67 pilgrims to the King Hussein Bridge, where they will cross over to Palestinian territories.

The Deputy Director of the Bridges Security Department Khalil Al-Bazaya said that all measures have been taken to facilitate the passage of pilgrims to the Palestinian territories, including the provision of all means of comfort.

He added that they are expecting approximately 4,200 pilgrims to arrive at the bridge in the coming few days.

Deputy Director of the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) Borders Talal Al-Zoubi confirmed that they prioritized the provision of 'distinguished service' to facilitate the process of receiving pilgrims.
