The Lower House of Parliament's Committee on Water, Agriculture and Badia hailed on Thursday, February 20, decisions taken by the Labor Ministry to create more job opportunities and reduce unemployment rates among Jordanian youth.
In a statement, Chairman of the Committee, MP Khalid Al-Hiyari, said the Ministry's measures, including controlling and regulating the labor market, cracking down on illegal workers, and closing some professions to foreign labor, had left a positive impact on the Kingdom's labor market.
Al-Hiyari added that the Minister of Labour, Nidal Bataineh is taking great steps to provide job opportunities to the unemployed to implement the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II in order to improve citizens' living conditions.
