An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has announced that Jordan will not renew or extend Al-Baqoura and Al-Ghamr annexation from the peace agreement.

The source said that Jordan has exercised its legal right stipulated in the peace agreement by refusing to extend the annexation.

According to the Jordanian Law, Israeli farmers will only be able to harvest what they planted before the end of the annexation according to Jordanian law, as they will be granted entry visas to farmers through the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv to enter the region, the source confirmed.

The source added that based on the peace agreement, Israelis have the right to own 820 dunums of Al-Baqoura and that Jordan would allow any settler who owns any part of the land to obtain a visa from the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv to enter the kingdom through official borders.

However, Al-Ghamr land which is estimated at 4235 dunums is owned by the state treasury, where the agreement has given the Israeli occupation the right of benefiting from it. As the agreement has ended, Israelis have no right in this land.
