Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in the town of Silwan, a Silwan-based watchdog, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and handed its director, Jawad Siam, a summon for interrogation.

In a statement, Siam said Israeli forces raided the center, and "I was handed over a summon for interrogation," which is scheduled next Tuesday at the Israeli municipality in the occupied city of Jerusalem, for building a wooden room without a permit.

"The room was constructed in 2009, which means that the raid is only a part of the Israeli policy to restrict the media freedom," the statement added.
