The Israeli authorities released on Monday the Jordanian citizen it had arrested earlier last week while crossing to the West Bank through King Hussien Bridge, a diplomatic source told Roya.

Israel later accused the man of belonging to the Islamic Hamas group; no further details were given, according to the same source.

The man was arrested as he was going to attend his mother’s funeral; his family was denied access to the way back to Jordan.

Israel allowed the man and his family back to Jordan days after the arrest.

King Hussien Bridge is the terminal Palestinians and Jordanian use to move between Jordan and Palestine, the checkpoint has a Jordanian, Palestinian, and an Israeli checkpoints.
