King Abdullah II of Jordan said in a phone call to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Wednesday night that "Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as Israeli capital and moving the US embassy to the holy city will have serious and dangerous repercussions on the safety and stability of the region."

The phone call follows Donald Trump's official recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and setting in motion a plan to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy City.
