At least 1.8 million people watched this heartwarming marriage proposal on Facebook, and if you weren’t one of them, prepare to grin and weep like a kid in a candy store.

It was just another day for Palestinian radio host Tamara Habaybe, who received a very special phone call from the love of her life when she was presenting her popular radio show.

Engineer Mohammad Lahlouh called in to declare his undying love for Tamara and to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together.

Little did she know that her knight in shining armour was in the building and on his way to her with a beautiful engagement ring.

After shedding tears of joy, Tamara greeted her new fiancé with a warm hug and, of course, said “yes”!

Good job, Cupid!

Although Lahlouh’s romantic gesture received tons of positive feedback on social media, there were a few buzzkills who slammed the proposal as “anti-Islamic.”

Sure, when a Muslim man plans to ask for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage, he directly approaches her father; but doing it the “Western way” is nothing to be frowned upon.

As long as they’re on the same wavelength, who can’t say they won’t be living happily ever after?
