Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and head of Jordanian Hajj delegations, has announced the establishment of a dedicated team to oversee procedures concerning deaths and missing persons among Jordanian pilgrims.

This initiative is in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan and Saudi authorities.

During his visit to the Jordanian journalists' residence at the Mina camp on Tuesday, Al-Khalayleh assured that the overall health condition of all Jordanian pilgrims remains satisfactory, as reported by Jordan News Agency (Petra).

He emphasized that the Ministry is monitoring information around the clock concerning all pilgrims, whether part of the official Jordanian Hajj delegation or not.

The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reported an increase in deaths and missing persons among non-official Jordanian Hajj pilgrims due to sunstroke amid the intense heatwave.
