Recently, Trump has been striving to close the significant fundraising gap with Biden and is relying on major donors for assistance. At the end of April, Biden's campaign had USD 84 million in cash on hand, whereas Trump had USD 49 million. Now, major Republican donors are flocking to help Trump, one being Adelson.

Adelson, a resident of Tel Aviv and a megadonor for settlement development in the West Bank, had previously offered Trump during his presidency USD 20 million in exchange for moving the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which he did in May 14, 2018.

While it is not officially announced how much Adelson plans to pay, US news outlets reported that the contribution is expected to exceed her previous USD 90 million donation.

According to the report by Politico, “Adelson did not name the sum, but is expected ‘to spend more than [she and her late husband] did four years ago.’ This would make her 2024's biggest campaign donor.”
