Arabia Weather website reported that recent weather map data suggests a significant intensification of hot weather across all Arabian Gulf countries, beginning at the end of this month and continuing into early June.

Arabia Weather stated that a hot air mass will gradually affect the Arabian Peninsula and all Arab Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE, and the Sultanate of Oman. This hot weather will intensify in early June.

The intensification of hot weather is attributed to the strengthening of the upper high over the Arabian Peninsula due to increased solar heating of the Earth’s surface. This creates a thermal depression, lifting hot air upward through rising air currents. The upper high then reverses these currents, causing the hot air to remain in the lower layers, significantly raising temperatures and forming a heat dome.

Weather data indicate that the effects of this heat dome will become apparent in the coming days, with temperatures in many regions of Saudi Arabia expected to exceed 45°C, including Riyadh and some western regions like Mecca and Medina. Temperatures in the eastern and southern regions of the Kingdom are expected to approach 50°C.

In Kuwait and Qatar, temperatures are expected to rise to around 45°C and potentially exceed that in some areas. In the UAE, especially in southern regions like Al Ain, temperatures are expected to approach 50°C, while coastal areas will experience temperatures around the mid-30s.
