The Jordanian Armed Forces (Arab Army), in partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, delivered a new food aid convoy to Gaza, along with the World Food Program (WFP) and various international charitable organizations.

The convoy, consisting of 35 trucks, carried essential food parcels to be distributed to Gazan residents through local associations and organizations.

The convoy entered Gaza through Beit Hanoun Crossing, otherwise known as Erez Crossing. Despite attempts at assault and sabotage, the convoy successfully reached Gaza.

Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, highlighted reports from Gaza's official authorities, indicating severe food shortages and a worrying situation.

He stressed the need to increase food supplies to Gaza and work closely with authorities to reach as many people as possible, particularly in the north.

Al-Shibli noted that a total of 1,280 trucks and 57 planes have entered Gaza via Al-Arish, along with 92 Jordanian airdrops and 231 airdrops in cooperation with friendly countries.

The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization continues to accept cash donations through its bank account at Union Bank (Account No. JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), e-wallets, or via Cliq JHCOGAZA, as well as through efawateerkom and its website www.jhco.org.jo.

- Previous attacks -

Earlier in May, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned an attack by settlers on two Jordanian aid convoys carrying food, flour, and other humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip. One convoy was heading to Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing, while the other was supposed to enter Gaza via the Beit Hanoun crossing (Erez).

The Ministry stated that the failure of the Israeli Occupation government to protect the aid convoys and allowing them to be attacked is a serious violation of its legal obligations as the occupying power and its duty to permit aid into Gaza.
