Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Dr. Majid Al-Ansari, affirmed Doha's commitment to preventing further security deterioration in the region.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Ansari stated that there's a generation of orphans in Gaza who must be shielded from the hardships of post-war life.

He expressed frustration over the failure to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, stressing the need for Doha to reassess its mediation efforts and the prospects of achieving a positive outcome.

Ansari emphasized the disappointment with unfounded attacks on Qatar's mediation efforts, which go beyond national responsibilities. He criticized statements by officials in the Netanyahu government for fabricating lies for political gain, which undermines the mediator's role.

In regards to the possibility of Qatar withdrawing from mediation, Ansari stated it's premature to discuss.

He highlighted that no party in the international community should tolerate an attack on Rafah, a city already suffering. He urged all to work together to prevent an expected attack from Tel Aviv on Rafah.
