Israel Katz, the Israeli Occupation’s Foreign Minister, has lambasted the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his meeting with the Hamas’ Politburo Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Turkey today.

“Shame on you Erdogan!” Katz said in a post on his “X” account, captioning a photo of Erdogan and Hanieyeh shaking hands during their meeting at the Dolmabahce palace.

During their meeting, Erdogan urged Palestinians to unite - a statement by his office said.

"It is vital that Palestinians act with unity in this process. The strongest response to Israel and the path to victory lie in unity and integrity," Erdogan said according to a Turkish presidency statement.

The meeting lasted for two and half hours per Turkish media cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Haniyeh was received along with a delegation of Hamas officials, including Khaled Mashal - a former head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
