A senior Hezbollah commander was targeted in an “Israeli” airstrike that struck his vehicle in the town of Ain Baal in south Lebanon today - per Roya’s correspondent.

Emergency services reported one fatality and two survivors - in a preliminary toll.

Source close to Hezbollah, cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP), says that the strike killed a “local commander” in Lebanon.

"The field commander in charge of the Naqoura region has been martyred in an Israeli strike," the source told AFP. The strike took place 15 kilometers from the border.

Yesterday, the the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed that four of its troops were wounded inside Lebanon, hours after Lebanese political and militant group Hezbollah announced that it had detonated “explosive devices” targeting “Israeli” soldiers who crossed the border into Lebanese territory.

The IOF said the soldiers were wounded overnight in an explosion "in the area of the northern border", but without specifying on which side.

One of the soldiers was “severely injured,” it added.

Explosive devices were planted in Tal Ismail inside Lebanon and were detonated after the group of “Israeli” soldiers crossed the border - per Hezbollah’s statement.
