Jordan's Government Communications Minister Muhannad Al-Mubaideen remarked on Sunday that the recent events constituted a confrontation between Israeli Occupation and Iran.

In statements to the Jordanian news agency Petra, Al-Mubaideen emphasized Jordan's call for de-escalation to prevent the situation from evolving into a regional conflict.

He underlined that national security remains stable, expressing confidence in the capabilities of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Additionally, the Cabinet urged all parties to exercise restraint and handle the situation responsibly amid escalating tensions.

Reaffirming the commitment to safeguarding the nation's security and safety, the Council of Ministers asserted that the armed forces and security services stand ready to counter any threats.

The Council called for meticulous accuracy in media reporting and confirmed that any flying objects breaching Jordanian airspace were promptly addressed to safeguard citizens and inhabited areas.

Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, outlined that ceasing aggression against Gaza, ending occupation, and pursuing a two-state solution are pivotal to halting regional escalation.

Al-Safadi emphasized Jordan's determination to take necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty, stressing the regional and international imperative for the UN Security Council to intervene.

He cautioned against the ramifications of continued aggression, emphasizing the need for collective international efforts to mitigate escalation and uphold peace.

Al-Safadi reiterated Jordan's unwavering commitment to halt Gaza aggression, prevent regional escalation, and collaborate with international partners to implement the two-state solution for lasting security and peace.
