Muhammad Mustafa, the Palestinian Prime Minister-designate, has presented the government's proposed work program and formation list to President Mahmoud Abbas for confidence approval.

Consequently, Abbas issued a decree granting confidence to the 19th government and approved its formation.

The swearing-in ceremony for the government is scheduled to take place next Sunday, March 31, 2024.

The government's program emphasizes the political reference to the Palestine Liberation Organization, international obligations, and directives from President Abbas.

Key priorities include addressing the humanitarian situation, focusing on immediate relief efforts in Gaza, and initiating recovery and reconstruction projects in Gaza and the West Bank.

Additionally, plans for institutional reform, anti-corruption measures, service enhancement, and digital transformation are outlined, aiming to unify and restructure institutions across the country.

Furthermore, the program emphasizes the importance of upholding the rule of law, enhancing financial sector integrity, ensuring security, and protecting public freedoms.

Efforts to strengthen presence in occupied Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, and marginalized areas, preserving Christian and Islamic sites, and fostering connections between Jerusalem and Palestinians are also highlighted.
