Catherine Middleton, princess of Wales and member of the British Royal Family, announced today, Friday, that she has been diagnosed with Cancer.

She added that she is in the “early stages” of chemotherapy, and asked for "time, space and privacy" as she completes her treatment.

Kate, as she is widely known, said the discovery of cancer, after successful abdominal surgery in January, was "a huge shock" but she was "well and getting stronger every day.”

“I am well…getting stronger,” she added.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wished Catherine a “speedy recovery.”

The White House has expressed its sympathy and support for the Princess of Wales and wished her a “swift” recovery after the “terrible” news of her cancer diagnosis - per an official statement.
