Since the commencement of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, Palestinian prisoner organizations have reported the detention of 61 journalists in Gaza.

Among them, 23 were detained without formal charges or trials by Israeli Occupation authorities, with 40 still held in custody.

Over this period, more than 13 journalists have been killed by Israeli Occupation Forces, as per Gaza's Ministry of Health.

The ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression, now in its 165th day, has resulted in extensive casualties and destruction, with 31,819 fatalities and 73,934 injuries recorded since October 7, according to Gaza's Health Ministry.

This assault began when the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched Operation Aqsa Typhoon in response to Israeli Occupation provocations.

In retaliation, the Israeli Occupation military initiated "Operation Iron Swords," conducting numerous violent incursions into Gaza, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure.
