Efforts have been ongoing since Tuesday afternoon to control and extinguish a fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Hebron, West Bank - per Roya’s correspondent.

The fire covered tens of dunums of the factory's area. No casualties have been recorded with the damage being limited only to the property.

The factory in Hebron is one of the largest plastic factories in the Palestinian territories, serving as a primary source for plastic materials and water tanks.

Control has been established over significant parts of the fire, and the surrounding areas have been evacuated to prevent the flames from spreading to agricultural fields.

Earlier, the mayor of Hebron, Taysir Abu Sneineh, stated that the fire exceeds the available capabilities, indicating that all of Hebron municipality's firefighting resources, water tankers, and excavators have been deployed to the site.

Abu Sneineh added that the fire is massive and requires significant resources that are only available to the Israeli Occupation.

A Civil Defense team from Bethlehem headed to the site of the fire, followed by teams from Jerusalem suburbs, Jericho, and the Central Command for support.

The factory's executive director clarified that the fire broke out in one of the factory's warehouses, confirming that there were no workers inside the location.

He stated that the fire is extensive in the company's warehouses and is challenging to control so far, expressing concern about its spread to nearby houses.
