Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said in a press briefing on Saturday that the meeting, which included the interior ministers of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, concluded with the formation of a joint communication unit to exchange prior and subsequent information, track and monitor shipments entering and leaving the countries, as well as to identify their destinations.

Al-Faraya added that the quadrilateral meeting in Amman discussed the challenges facing the region's countries regarding the drug scourge.

"We have acknowledged the existence of this problem and are following up on it at the technical level," Al-Faraya said.

This comes after a meeting attended by the interior ministers of Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, along with their security directors and internal security in Amman, where the issue of drugs and their combating, as well as enhancing cooperation in this context, were discussed.
