A poll conducted by the “Israeli [Occupation] Democracy Institute” (IDI) revealed that only 15 percent of those questioned want Prime Minister Benjamin Netnayhu to stay in office after the aggression against Gaza ends.

The recent poll’s results, published Tuesday, also revealed that 56 percent of the respondents believe continuing the aggression against Gaza is the best method to retrieve the captives held in Gaza, while only 24 percent supported a swap deal which would release thousands of Palestinians prisoners from the Occupation’s prisons in return for the “Israeli captives.”

Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, and member of the divided War Cabinet, garnered the support of 23 percent of the interviewees, with around 30 percent preferring no specific leader.

129 captives remain in Gaza after around 100 were released in the swap deals taking place late November 2023, with Netanyahu emphasizing that ramping up military pressure is the best method to secure the captives’ release.
