The Arab Christian Initiative reiterated its commitment to the decision of the Council of Church Leaders in Jordan, to cancel all events and festivities of Christmas in respect and reverence for the martyrs' blood in the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.

In a press conference held at the Orthodox Association and attended by a group of activists on Wednesday, the organizers of the initiative affirmed their support for the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli Occupation, declaring absolute support for the establishment of the Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem.

The initiative also emphasized the right of return for refugees and holding war criminals accountable before the International Criminal Court.

The Arab Christian Initiative expressed solidarity with the Hashemite leadership and praised the Jordanian government's efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza. They called for the cancellation of all agreements with the Israeli Occupation’s government, the opening of border crossings, and the lifting of the siege to supply Gaza with its basic needs.

The statement condemned the barbaric Israeli Occupation aggression against Gaza, condemning the shedding of blood, targeting civilians, destroying civilian buildings, schools, hospitals, churches, and mosques by the IOF.

It denounced the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents, which constitutes a clear violation of international conventions and the laws of war adopted by the international community.

The initiative expressed support for the Palestinian resistance against the oppressive Israeli occupier, reaffirming the Palestinian people's right to defend their land and sacred sites as long as the Israeli Occupation persists and violates their human rights.

“As the Christmas season approaches, with the scent of sacred blood and the sight of limbs under demolished buildings,” the statement read, expressing full support for the decision of the Jordanian Council of Church Leaders to cancel all events and festivities related to Christmas. “This decision is a way to honor and respect the blood of our martyred brothers and the killing of our innocent children in beloved Palestine.”

The initiative emphasized its role as Jordanian Christian citizens who are an integral part of the Arab nation, deeply rooted in its history. They share the same pain and oppression and have a unified stance against Christian Zionism and some strange practices that some heretics attempt to generalize to all Christians in our beloved Jordan.

The statement concluded by giving its respect and admiration for the heroic martyrs and wished for a speedy recovery for the wounded and freedom for the brave prisoners in the occupation's jails.

"Long live free Arab Palestine... Long live the Arab Jordan, the protector of Palestine and its steadfast twin against Zionist ambitions... Long live our unified Arab nation."
