Three individuals lost their lives, and five others were injured in a house fire that broke out in Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi in the Karak Governorate Tuesday morning.

According to a security source, a man in his sixties, along with his daughter and young granddaughter, perished in the fire.

Security forces rushed to the scene to investigate the incident, while Civil Defense teams evacuated the bodies of the deceased to a nearby hospital.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) later stated that specialized firefighting teams from the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) in Karak responded to a fire inside a house in the Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi area.

The spokesperson confirmed that firefighting teams worked to extinguish the fire, rescue five individuals trapped by the flames, and evacuate the three fatalities resulting from the fire.

Ambulance teams provided necessary first aid to the injured and transported them to the hospital for further medical procedures.

An investigation will be opened to determine the causes of the fire.
